3:20 PM, Jul 30, 2009 -- Gen-Probe (GPRO) is due with its Q2 results after the bell tonight, and analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect the company to report a profit of $0.43 per share on revenue of $123 million.
GPRO generally sees solid next-day volatility following after-hours earnings events. The stock has recorded wider next-day percentage closing levels following 15 of its last 21 evening-session quarterly reports. In the near term, the stock has widened in the last five consecutive quarters, though one recent example was a case of flat evening trade followed by a next-day decline.
