KONG favors reversing between the sessions following an extended-hours earnings event. It has narrowed its next-day share performance 11 times, widened seven times and recorded one flat performance. Near-term, it favors reversing or cutting back its moves between the sessions, doing so in four of five quarters.
On May 13, 2009, the stock gained 3.8% after a Q1 beat and Q2 revenue guidance above the Street view. Shares were up a stronger 5.6% the next day.
On Feb. 18, 2009, the stock gained 3% in extended-hours trading after KONG beat with Q4 results and guides for a Q1 revenue beat. The gain was trimmed to a slim 0.7% the next day.
On Nov. 17, 2008, the stock gained 2.3% during evening trading after the company reported earnings in line. Shares reversed and closed down 5.2% the next day.
On Aug. 14, 2008, the stock gained 4% during evening trading after the company beat with Q2 results and set its Q3 revenue view above the Street. The gain was halved to 2% the next day.
On May 15, 2008, KONG tumbled 13.1% in after-hours trade after missing earnings expectations. It cut back that downside in the next day's regular session, closing down 11.4%.
On March 4, 2008, KONG declined 4.9% in night trade after coming in a penny shy on earnings. The loss fattened the following day, with KONG losing 18.5% by the March 5 closing bell.
